Thornby Farm Walk
The annual walk through our unseen countryside was blessed with fine dry weather on Sunday 18th May (unlike last year when the April walk had to be cancelled due to very heavy rain, however all walkers and supporters still enjoyed the excellent hot refreshments before the rain returned! Another date was arranged in October, that was a dry day!!).
This year's walk started from the Red Lion, two tractors and trailers on hand for those needing lifts. The walk began with admiring the beautiful view across the Hollowell Reservoir down to Northampton. Through a field with cows and calves then on to look at some of the crops prior to crossing the A5199. Once on the Naseby side of the road we continued down a field into some woods where there is a small man-
After the 5 mile walk, all were ready for hot homemade refreshments & deserts at Thornby House.thanks go to Peter Moyes, Manager of Thornby Farms for such an interesting route and informative narrative. Thank you also to all catering and raffle contributors and donators.

Thornby Parish Meeting
The meeting held Thursday 5th June was very pleased to welcome our new Member of Parliament, Rt Hon Stuart Andrew MP and Christine Ware, Ward Councillor, elected in the local May elections for the newly formed Naseby Ward.
We were very fortunate to be one of the first village parish meetings attended by our MP since his appointment at the General Election.
Both guests addressed the meeting explaining their individual roles in Westminster & Daventry. They then kindly answered questions from Thornby residents. Electorates can access the monthly newsletter from our MP: stuart.andrew.mp@parliament.uk
